Following Up via Phone and/or Email (MAHA)

  • Employers are assigned a dedicated primary point of contact, typically the counselor or employment specialist who managed the placement. Staff make themselves accessible via phone, text, and email, as well as platforms like WeChat, meeting job seekers and employers where they are already comfortable to make communication as convenient as possible.
  • Rather than waiting for issues to arise, MAHA staff proactively reach out within the first two weeks following a job placement to check in with both the employer and the new hire to see how the transition is going.
  • To maintain long-lasting partnerships, MAHA continues check-ins at regular intervals (such as 30, 90, and 180 days) based on program requirements, supporting employee retention and offering ongoing assistance long after the initial hire.
