Introducing Your Organization (MxD)

  • MxD supports employer organizations in many ways, often serving as a neutral party that creates an environment for collaboration for employer organizations. While many organizations become members, MxD, particularly through the Workforce Development Team, supports employers that are focused on building the future of manufacturing, regardless of their membership level, often offering training and events that are open to the public.
  • The Workforce Development Team presents program offerings in the initial meeting with employers. The initial interaction with an employer may also come from a meeting with the Engagement Team. When employers decide to become members of MxD, they sign a member agreement, which contains a multi-party non-disclosure agreement.
  • The incorporation of the multi-party non-disclosure agreement creates a unique environment that allows organizations that compete in the marketplace to collaborate and discuss their specific challenges and brainstorm solutions in a neutral space.
  • The Capital Program is an upskilling initiative that provides employer partners with free access to specialized training courses for their staff in exchange for providing feedback data. The employer feedback is used to validate the effectiveness of the content and to track whether the training leads to tangible outcomes like employee promotions or enhanced organizational growth.
